Device Security & Privacy Disclosure
At vSeeBox, transparency, device reliability, and protection of user privacy are essential principles of our business. This disclosure provides information about the Android operating systems used in our devices, how firmware updates are delivered, and the measures we take to maintain a secure and trustworthy hardware environment.
Android Operating System Versions
vSeeBox devices operate on official Android-based platforms that are optimized for smart TV performance and compatibility with modern applications.
The current models use the following Android versions:
-
vSeeBox V6 Plus / vSeeBox V6 Max — Android 14
-
vSeeBox Elite Ultra / vSeeBox V5 Pro — Android 12
-
vSeeBox V3 Plus / vSeeBox V3 Pro — Android 11
These Android versions are selected to provide reliable performance, broad application compatibility, and ongoing system stability for everyday use.
Non-Rooted System Architecture
All vSeeBox products are delivered with a non-rooted operating system.
This means the system environment has not been rooted, unlocked, or altered in a way that bypasses standard Android security protections.
Maintaining a non-rooted configuration helps preserve system integrity and prevents unauthorized access to protected system functions. The software environment is designed to align with Google Play Protect security guidelines, helping reduce risks related to harmful applications.
Official Firmware Distribution
System firmware for vSeeBox devices is distributed through official Over-the-Air (OTA) update servers operated by the manufacturer.
Our firmware distribution practices include the following principles:
-
Updates are delivered only through official update channels
-
Firmware packages are verified prior to release
-
Our store does not apply unauthorized system modifications
-
No unapproved third-party APK applications are pre-installed
These measures help ensure that users receive devices with a clean, stable, and secure system environment.
Security Checks & Responsible Distribution
As part of our commitment to responsible product distribution, we conduct random security inspections on device batches before shipment. These inspections help confirm that the system software has not been altered and does not contain malicious programs or hidden backdoor mechanisms.
In addition, we monitor publicly available security research and industry reports concerning Android-based streaming devices. When relevant information becomes available, we review the findings and conduct additional checks when appropriate.
Through these practices, we aim to maintain a distribution process that prioritizes system integrity, user privacy protection, and responsible device security standards.
